2011 JV Highlights
June 2, 2011 Delsea 11 Clearview 10
Clearview took the loss to Delsea in the final inning11-10. Vinnie Boccicchio smashed a Homerun to centerfield. Jay Gorman was 2-4 (2 doubles, 2 RBI's), Ronnie Mestichelli 3-3 (3 singles, 2 stolen bases), Matt DeFrank 2-3 (2 singles, BB, 2 RBI's), and Mark Joyce 1-1 (Sac Fly and RBI).

In Clearview's 10-0 win against Glassboro Jay Gorman pitched a complete game shutout, giving up just 2 hits and striking out 8 batters. Joe Caruso was on base 4 times with 2 singles and 2 walks. George Kerasinis added 2 singles and 2 RBI's. In the 3rd inning Troy Darpino blasted a 2-run Homerun to right field.
May 24, 2011 Williamstown 6 Clearview 5
In the 6-5 loss to Williamstown, Clearview came back from a 5-1 deficit to tie the game in the 5th inning. Joe Caruso went 3 for 4 with 2 singles and a Homerun. Jay Gorman added a 3 for 3 performance at the plate.
May 13, 2011 Clearview 8 Gloucester Catholic 8
Kyle Milden and Matt Pennell had strong performances on the mound giving up a total of 3 earned runs and just 6 hits to GC. Clearview went down 8 to 3 coming into the 6th inning and mounted a great comeback with clutch hitting. Costello, Sousa, Rucci, Norcross, and Gorman all had 2 hits a piece. The key hits of the game were 2 triples both with 2 outs and runners on, Costello's in the 6th (2 RBI's) and Mark Joyce's game tying shot in the 7th.
May 6, 2011 Clearview 11, Highland 4
Jimmy Sousa went 4 for 4 at the plate with 2 RBI's, while Andrew Salciunas added a 3 for 4 game with 2 RBI's. Clearview had another stellar defensive game with just one error now in the previous 2 games. Matt Pennell and Joe String split the game on the mound giving up a total of 2 hits.

Paul Rucci pitched a complete game shutout vs. Kingsway giving up just 2 hits and striking out 6. Jimmy Sousa and Jay Gorman both went 3-4 at the plate with 2 RBI's a piece.
April 30, 2011 Clearview 5, Cumberland 1
Jimmy Sousa had a strong game in the field and at the plate. He went 2 for 3, added 3 put-outs at shortstop, and closed the game pitching with 2 scoreless, no-hit innings. Matt Pennell went 1 for 2 with a single and an RBI sac fly.
April 26, 2011 Clearview 21, Penns Grove 2
Clearview JV had a huge offensive output in their 21-2 win against Penns Grove. Ron Mestichelli and Mark Joyce each had 2 doubles, adding 5 RBI's and 5 runs scored between them. Paul Rucci also had 2 doubles and 2 RBI's. Rucci has put up 8 hits in the previous 3 games. Jay Gorman did a nice job catching and went 2-4 with 3 RBI's.
April 20, 2011 Clearview 11, Moorestown 8
Clearview took a 7-0 lead in the game against Moorestown and was quickly losing 8-7 . In the fifth inning they jumped back in front and got an 11-8 win with four runs highlighted by a 2-run double by Richie Norcross and an RBI triple by Mark Joyce. Norcross ended up going 3 for 4 with 4 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Jimmy Sousa went 2 for 2 with 3 RBI's.
April 18, 2011 Clearview 6, Pennsville 4
In a 6-4 victory against Pennsville on Monday Andrew Salciunas lead the team going 3-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI's. Paul Rucci had another strong performance on the mound getting the save. At the plate he went 3-4 with 2 RBI's. Matt Pennell got the win giving up 1 earned run and 5 stikeouts in 4 innings.
April 11, 2011 Clearview 11, Cumberland 3
In an 11-3 win at Cumberland on Monday Paul Rucci threw four strong innings with 6 strikeouts, and giving up just 1 earned run. Troy Darpino contributed offensively going 2-2 with 2 singles, 1 RBI, and a stolen base.
April 6, 2011 Williamstown 13, Clearview 3
In a tough loss to Williamstown Matt Pennell and Joe Caruso stood out with two strong offensive performances. Caruso started the game with a single and was driven in on a 2-run homer by Pennell deep to left field. They each went 2 for 3 for the game.
April 4, 2011 - Clearview 10, Kingsway 0
Jimmy Sousa and Paul Rucci lead Clearview JV to a 10-0 win in there first game of the year against Kingsway both going 2-3 with 3 triples and a double between them. Bob Bruno and Rucci had a great performance on the mound with a total of 8 strikeouts and no earned runs.
Final Record: 9-3-1
